Shoes and Motorcycles. Two aspects of my life which I love that are pretty much mutually exclusive in use. That was of course until the Balenciaga Ready to Wear Fall 2007 collection strutted itself down the runway in February. Do you see the family resemblance?

Can you imagine the sheer joy of arriving at the office, sitting down in your chair to pull off your old well-loved but manky motorcycle boots and slipping those babies on? I know, I know. The shoes aren’t for everyone but I cannot help but LOVE them! Sadly, at over $4,000 never the two of us shall meet.

It boggles the mind that a $250 pair of motorcycle boots would compare as “cheap”.

The Wild Ones

RESPECT THE COOLNESS: Marlon Brando displayed a style that is just as relevant now as it was in the 1950's. A movie called "The Wild One" made it cool to be a socially rebellious outlaw biker. Clothing worn in this era was cuffed denim jeans, side-buckle and strap leather motorcycle boot, stallion horsehide leather jacket with embroidered name on the front, leather gloves, t-shirt, goggles (optional), the ever popular head "Hook Fast" cap, and of course, a trophy.
